Rony Jordan, Director of Tikvat Am Yisrael, is an Israeli and an American citizen.  As a child of Holocaust survivors, Rony was raised in Israel and served in the Israeli Defense Forces. He later traveled to the United States, where he met his wife Cindy.  Rony worked as a General Contractor for 20 years.  They have two adult sons.

Tikvat Am Yisrael was founded in 2004 and is a nonprofit corporation.  All US contributions are tax deductible under IRC 501(c)(3). 

After the Second Lebanon War in 2006, the need for bomb shelter renovations became a matter of urgency.  Tikvat Am Yisrael renovated its first bomb shelter in 2007.   Since then a total of ten bomb shelters have been renovated along the northern border, affecting and ultimately protecting the lives of over 500 Israeli civilians.

There remains thousands of bomb shelters in need of renovation.  With your help, we can continue to make a difference.

And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.
